I personally donāt like my mom all that much (she did scream at me instead of showing sympathy) but Iām terrified of anyone dying by my hand so fuck it
MAMMY NO
FUCK
I donāt like this kind of post but I aināt risking it.
I donāt care if it looks ugly on your blogs THIS COULD POSSIBLY SAVE LIVES
Nigerians are about to save the world
Governments are gonna kill this guy.
his name is Maduike Ezeibe, a professor at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State. this is huge
The world wonāt get serious about this unless a post goes viral and thatās sad af You rather talk about a vine video or popular culture ok thatās fine and all but thereās a cure for HIV/Aids and america is lying There is a cure for HIV/Aids and no one will spread the news for those who are diagnosed with it, so that THE WORLD COULD WAKE TF UP There is hope for those who have been diagnosed with a disease that may have given them 20 or so years to live For the first time in the history of the world thereās is a possible preventative cure for one of the most deadliest viral diseases
Most def had to reblog this. Iām supporting him 1000%
(( … I’m… I don’t even know. I’m sorry, guys. *gross sobbing* I just didn’t know what to do for my 800 followers, and i still didn’t know when you went 900 on my butt. SO AS USUAL, i just improvised.
I learnt a valuable lesson with that comic : umbrellas are boring and hard to draw. And yes, the L/R typo is purely intentional.
And of course, I’m grateful for all of you guys. Thank you for your patience and your support. *hugs all of you guys* ))
AO3, fanfiction, and comments: the system isnāt working.Ā
Fic authors have a problem with feedback ā or rather, with the lack of it. Fanfiction has a notoriously low ratio of comments to hits, and many of us have expressed our frustration that we can get a hundred, two hundred, five hundred, even a thousand views on our stories, but only a handful of readers will leave kudos, let alone comments. Ā Ā
Unfortunately, this only gets worse for long, multi-chapter stories (aka, the longfics we know, love, and would sell our souls in a second if it meant an update), which also happen to be the stories that authors need the most support to continue and complete. Law of diminishing returns, yāall, and it sucks.Ā
Weāre not here to guilt you into leaving comments.
We want to address the problem by changing the format, and we need your help to do it.Ā
The goal is to increase the amount of feedback authors get from readers, especially on stories with multiple chapters, and to make it easier for everyone to show how much we love fics. Weāre opening a discussion with ao3 to figure out how/if any of these options can be implemented, but first we need options to present!Ā
Some of our current ideas:Ā
Ability to leave a form of kudos on every chapter, instead of only once on the entire story: this lets authors know that youāre here and youāre reading their updates, so their hard work isnāt getting tossed into the internet void.Ā
Comment templates: suggested comments that can be customized or posted as-is. Many of us draw a blank or get nervous when we try to think of a comment, so having pre-made options will both increase the total level of feedback and serve as practice, making it easier to leave more in-depth comments in the future.Ā
Upvoting/leaving kudos on comments themselves: positive reinforcement makes giving feedback more fun and rewarding, and it lets the author know that readers are present and agreeing with other comments, even if they donāt leave one themselves.Ā
Weāll contact AO3 to discuss the possibility of adding any of these as native features, and if that wonāt work, weāre looking into creating and sharing a user script.Ā
Ā What you can do to help:Ā
Ā As a reader, what would you like to have? What would you be most likely to use? New ideas, opinions on ideas that are listed here, theyāre all good.Ā
As a creator, how would you feel about each of these options? Can you think of other ways of receiving or encouraging feedback?Ā
Pros and cons of these (note: our thoughts on this are discussed in this google doc)Ā
GET THE WORD OUT! Reblog this post, send it to your friends, link to it from your stories. We need as much input and support as possible to get this off the ground.Ā
Feedback makes for happy authors. Happy authors make for more stories. Letās keep this part of fandom alive!Ā
More details about our thoughts, discussions, and ideas can be found inthis google doc.
wow, changing the format itself to facilitate comments! and interesting and rad way to go about helping authorsĀ
Okay being able to have more dynamic kudos and leave more kudos for chapters: yessss
AO3 being AO3, I trust they will listen and impliment those ideas if they get enough support. Thatās what makes this website so incredibly awesome.
Ah yes, the feedback issue. As a writer, the feedback is so INCREDIBLY important, not just as praise, but also motivation and drive.
Iāll admit, Iāve gone through my rough patches. But there I would re-read comments that, maybe not right away, but would eventually motivate me to get up and get back to writing!!!
Feedback is important, and if you have the time, PLEASE LEAVE IT! Itās helpful to writers, it really is.
This game has been out for a while. Ā The team is well past the first unveiling of their creative baby, but being the good parents they are, these devs continue to nurture and support their creation. Ā This game, to this day, is still getting new content after all these years.
